Lot 1048 FULLY TRANSFERABLE STEN MK III SUBMACHINE GUN.

Cal. 9mm Para. S#23262. Bbl 8". The STEN was the standard SMG of the British armed forces during WWII & remained in service until the late 1950s. A simple select-fire, open bolt, blowback operated design with a very slow cyclic rate, & few moving parts. It has unique silhouette and is easily recognizable due to its left side magazine placement, directly across from the ejection port. The Sten Mk III, introduced in 1943 as a simplified evolution of the Mk II, featured a fixed barrel and integrated receiver/shroud w/ an integral mag-well to assist in reliability. Fixed blade front and peep rear sight, fixed to the integral receiver rib. Model Markings are found on the riveted magazine well. A&R marked selector switch is found on the trigger housing. Tubular stock. NFA paperwork indicated manufacturer as "Form 2 Registration". MAGS: 1. CONDITION: Overall 95% reapplied hardened black finish over pitting and dings.
